SAN DIEGO-BUILT

Working with Litus

Local, flexible, and built in the brand your spec names.

Litus builds in San Diego, in ABB, Schneider Electric (Square D), Eaton, or Siemens, and the same team handles the project from the bid set through delivery.

Most jobs are standard work done quickly by people you can reach. When the lead time or the specification does not fit a catalog, we build that too.

We’re often called when

When a standard-catalog order is quoted in months instead of weeks, the project doesn’t have to wait on it. We can often build the same scope faster because we’re not queued behind someone else’s production run.
Not every panel fits a catalog part number. If a supplier passes on the job because it’s custom, that’s usually exactly the kind of work we take on.
Bussing changes, breaker retrofits, and equipment modifications are done in our shop. Send us the details and we’ll tell you what’s involved.
When internal engineering time is going into building panels instead of the product itself, that’s capacity we can take off your plate.
We build exactly to your drawings and flag buildability issues before metal gets cut; the field integration scope stays yours.
Litus can be the second qualified source on your bid. Send the spec and we’ll tell you where we fit.
Out of warranty, out of production, or a brand the original manufacturer no longer services: we can often still repair or rebuild it.
A design-for-manufacture review up front catches the problems that would otherwise show up on the production floor.

Built

Designed, or redlined

Gear built at Litus is engineered against your one-line and fault current; an assembly you designed gets one redline pass before metal is cut, so what will be expensive or slow to build surfaces on the quote.

Sourced

Built and Sourced in Parallel

Supplied gear is ordered through authorized distribution and ships factory-direct, while everything built at Litus is wired, tested, and FAT’d here, and the package is coordinated so both arrive together.

Sealed

Every Build Carries the Litus Mark

Everything built at Litus is torque-sealed, serialized, and signed off under our own UL file, and supplied gear ships under its manufacturer’s listing, documented in the same package.

Merged

One Package, One Quote

Labeled, torque-sealed, and documented under the Litus file. Every quote states which path each line item took.

Ready to ship
After delivery

After it ships

The same team, after it ships: a change like a resized drive is priced from the original drawings, and a repair like a damaged bucket comes back to the shop, both handled by the people who built it without a factory requote.

Same team, start to finish

Every quote states which path each line item takes, and everything built at Litus passes through the same review, testing, and FAT before it ships.

Three ways this plays out

See how a project like yours runs, step by step.

Low-voltage switchboard lineup, doors removed

A bid set comes in with a Division 26 spec. The path from award to gear on the truck runs through two external gates: the engineer’s submittal approval and the utility’s meter section.

Bid set in

Plans plus the Division 26 spec, and a bid date. Every distribution and control item gets bucketed: built-panel bid, gear-supply, or no-bid.

Budgetary, then firm

A budgetary range goes out first, then a firm proposal by your bid date, carrying Litus-built lines and factory-supplied lines on one quote.

Award & submittals

PO issued; submittals go to the engineer of record, and utility metering drawings are prepared where there’s a service section.

Built and sourced in parallel

Litus-built boards and panels are built, labeled, and tested in San Diego while the supplied gear ships from the manufacturer.

Ships FOB San Diego

The contractor installs, and the inspector signs off on the label.

Shop-repair lane stays open

Retrofills, breaker replacements, and parts are available from the shop after delivery.

OEM control enclosure, production unit

An OEM’s electrical assembly often grows up alongside the product it runs. Litus turns it into a serialized, documented repeat unit.

Send the existing build

Drawings, a BOM, often an existing unit, and a volume forecast.

DFM review before pricing

Buildability, component consolidation, listing path, and brand options as a lead-time hedge.

Per-unit quote

Priced by volume tier plus NRE, with first-article and consignment terms stated.

First article approved

Engineering freezes the BOM under revision control; the shop builds a first article and produces an FAI report for approval.

Production releases

Units are serialized, torque-sealed, labeled at the wire, the terminal, and the device, and tested per unit.

Ships to schedule

Repeat units ship with per-unit documentation, and ECOs are handled under revision control.

Build-to-print panel, I/O terminations

The SI keeps the design, the programming, and the site. Litus takes the build, with one gate before metal is cut.

Send the print

Drawings, BOM, panel schedule, and spec: the build-to-print package. A complete package prices fastest.

DFM notes on the quote

Anything that would be expensive or slow to build is flagged on the quote itself.

One redline pass before metal

A buildability pass the SI approves, along with the PO. Shop drawings are then revision-locked.

Built to your design

Automated wire processing from your drawings; labeled under the Litus UL 508A file.

FAT you can witness

Point-to-point, termination list, and FAT forms ship with the assembly.

You keep the site

You program, install, and commission.

Representative process, not a specific project timeline. Send us your details and we’ll walk you through what it looks like for your scope.

Why Litus

Manufacturer-grade systems with job-shop agility.

Control panel with a Schneider controller

Decision Speed

The people reviewing your project are close to the people building it. Questions and exceptions don’t travel through layers of approvals.

Control panel with components from several manufacturers

Any Brand. Our Label.

Litus builds in the brand your spec names: ABB, Schneider Electric (Square D), Eaton, or Siemens. Each assembly is engineered and UL Listed under Litus’s own UL 891 or UL 508A file, with the components your engineer specified. When the spec is open, we tell you which brand ships fastest and price it as a separate line.

Designed, Built & Tested

Gear we design is engineered against your one-line; gear you design gets a redline pass before metal is cut; every build is tested against defined requirements before it ships.

The Same People, Start to Finish

The people who quote your project build it, test it, and handle changes and repairs in our shop after it ships. A resized drive or a damaged bucket or bucket door goes to the team that knows the gear, without a factory requote.

Featured case study

37 Cabinets. Four Weeks to Build.

An urgent project required 37 camera power cabinets on a timeline that standard lead times couldn’t support. Litus restructured sourcing, ran production in parallel, and absorbed a customer-driven design revision without losing the schedule.

  • Every cabinet powered and checked before shipment
  • A design change absorbed mid-production, on schedule
  • Enclosures compressed from a 4–6 week market lead time to nine working days

Send the drawings, and we’ll tell you what we can build and when.

Drawings, a spec, or just the problem: we’ll review the application and recommend the most practical path.
